Assemble Upright Frames:
Start by assembling the upright frames that support the racking system. These need to be perfectly square and plumb.
Position and Secure Uprights
Place each frame on the marked floor points, then anchor them firmly. Use a level to confirm everything is aligned correctly.
Attach and Level Cross Beams:
Insert beams into the uprights at your chosen heights. Lock them in place with safety clips or pins to prevent accidental dislodging. Check beam alignment with a level.
Add Bracing and Anchors:
Incorporate bracing as needed to increase overall stability. Anchor the system to the floor following the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
Install Additional Components:
Add accessories such as wire mesh decks, safety bars, or column protectors.
Final Inspection and Certification:
Inspect connections and confirm that all hardware is tight. Engage a qualified racking certifier to ensure your system meets safety regulations and capacity requirements.
